spandit
Not a happy Christmas for the bird. Couldn't see a mark on it so wonder if it flew into the overhead power lines (I found it underneath them). Not into taxidermy and don't think my wife would approve of me putting it in the freezer, so I left it in front of the trailcam at 23:01 Checked out this morning and it had gone so pulled the card this evening to see what took it and when. Turns out that it was only laying there for 13 minutes before Charlie snatched it away: Unless it was a different fox, there were several more subsequent visits to the same spot by vulpes vulpes to see if the Christmas miracle had reoccurred. At least it didn't go to waste, although I have no idea where the den is.

JDog
How to kill a fox. Peg down a dead pheasant near the trail cam, hide 20m away, sit and wait, see fox, shoot it.
