fat_jay
Morning all, I have a 2006 CRV with the original alpine double din sat nav head unit. It quite rubbish and would like to change to for a better unit, does anyone have any experience of any decent double din units, there are lots on ebay straight from china, are these to be avoided? Or are there other options? Jay
spandit
I bought a JVC unit for the Hilux which came with Bluetooth and plays DVDs etc. Was tempted by the Chinese ones but worried by lack of support.

Jaymo
Put s double Din Chinese version in my vivaro a few years ago. Never had a problem with it- was £299 from memory and had inputs for everything inc camera so I could reverse easily and not run the car over..... Twistedsanity
I've got a 2016crv and the head unit is awesome, maybe you could find a written off newer one as a replacement?
Davyo
PIONEER FH-X730 BT, great for the price and has Crystal clear parrot Bluetooth, new poss £139. Mate sold one for £50 as ive just put a tablet in his car. EDIT; just fitted a single din a few moments ago,(you would need a fascia adapter if you went down this route) Sony N4000BT ( FITTED AN ADD MIC IN HEADLINER) this has the clearest call quality of any units i have fitted. Plus installed SONY CAR APP on the guys phone so he controls everything by voice command (calls, radio stations,cd, sat nav, tomtom app installed on phone) Edited January 9, 2017 by Davyo

I had the crv, hated it, the serero was pants and the sat have was terrible. Have been looking for a double din. Satnav would have been good but the price for the Pioneer is very appealing and I can always use the phone maps. Thank you davyo

Paddy Galore!
I bought a pioneer for my little combo jay, a3800? or summink like that, there's a port in the back and an optional extra for a sat nav unit, it has Bluetooth, remote hands free, digi radio, cd/dvd player, or they do the next model up with sat nav built in, try Halfords or Norwich in car entertainment (NICE)
