Poacher
As there are many on this site who have been too, or are at uni and have endured the delights of empty cupboards and empty bellies, i hoping you'll understand my plight. Currently i have an insane urge for a chocolate biscuit and everywhere is closed being a bank holiday. So right now i'm sat at my computer spreading chocoloate onto schreddies like some deranged model maker painting his toys. What the most ingenious/bizarre cooking concoction you've endured to stay alive or cure an urge ?
njc110381
My ex used to love peanut butter and honey sandwiches. I didn't like the idea at first but it was actually quite nice. Another on I'll never have again in company was a plate of sprouts with onion sauce to make them taste better. I didn't have much food in the house! Very nice considering the ingredients, but not something to have when the G/F is staying over

It even got its own webpage (which I have kept for prosperity ) http://www.chuffnuts.com/piebutty/ It was lush .. The mrs has had poached egg on rice crispies with cheese sauce She is pregnant though Thats nuts Densie has never really had any cravings on any of the two pregnancies thus far.... The wierdest one is : Cheese, coleslaw, crisp and salad cream sandwiches (but then she did eat those before she was pregnant anyway !) NorfolkBoy
Tuna and cheese grilled - awesome! See "tuna melt" doesn't immediately scream "odd" to me, anyone else? Seems positively sensible to me..... Mint sauce/jelly sandwiches were an old fave or Branston pickle straight from the jar with a spoon... Ferret Master
Take one slice of bread and lay flat on clean looking surface. Add base layer of 1 potato waffle. Then place as much bacon, mushrooms and onion rings on top of that as possible. Add another layer of potato waffle. Top off with final slice of bread. Makes a nice snack for an underweight person like myself. FM P.S. It has to be white bread.

tuck1
Having watched an episode of "ready steady cook" with some friends, where Ainsley cooked a lovely looking Deep fried brie with cranberry, or something, we then proceeded to get very drunk. Later on, with appetite roaring, we attempted to emulate the gourmet master. Unfortunately, we had to substitute some of the ingredients as none of us was fit to drive to the shop. I can conclusively state that dairylea triangles do not deep fry particularly well, nor do they provide a suitable pairing with either Branstons pickle or rasperry jam when cooked thus. And the chip fat tastes strange for a long time afterwards..
