Feltwad
Enclosed are a couple of images of a percussion fowling piece which is not often seen on the foreshore today .The gun is a double barreled 6 bore with 36 inch barrels and built in the 1830s there is no name but the barrels are birmingham proofed . Feltwad
I'm presuming there's no elephants in your area now Feltwad? I am afraid not but the following would be more suited Feltwad A 16 bore Canton Rifle
HDAV
That 6 bore is something special (still in proof and serviceable? ) That 16bore rifle has a stock that looks like it could do some damage! I guess if you miss with the first shot you may well need it to!

Wymondley I am afraid not has far has the d/b six the lead shot ban finished the shooting life of it Damascus barrels and steel shot do not mix other shot is too expensive for this bore size Feltwad

Evilv
Love those fine guns Feltwad. You could still use the six bore on the odd rabbit though couldn't you? Lightly loaded it wouldn't even cost that much. What would the normal load be for a beast like that? Cheers
