Ive been in a cave for a while and had never heard of this one.. it looks impressive and doesnt look a bad price compared to what NV was like a few years ago. Something like this wuld surely have been 2k plus...

Id also be interested of a "real guys" view of these rather than a magazine or commercial reviewer..

Ignore all that... I think I was bog eyed and looked at the wrong review lol

Edit (2): Yes, I was. Ive just checked and I was looking at an ATN Night Arrow Gen2+ WPT Night Vision Riflescope and confused it with the price of the starlight one :D

My preference after owning a drone pro ..the best dedicated digital unit ever ..is a heads up unit. on a set of shooting sticks the best unit for price is a some bloke addon which is 1000 times better than a photon which I found to be dangerous..imagine seeing a set of hares eyes about 12 to 14 inches off the floor in front of a hedge..you look through your gen2 spotter to confirm..only to find a bloke standing there with a pair after hunter wellies..the eye shine was the labels on the boots..as I said dangerous

I wouldnt shoot at eye shine,if I cant ID the target -no shot.

Could be the farmers dog/cat or lamb.

photons arent dangerous , however , someone stupid enough to shoot a pair of wellies is .

Silly post the scope was not dangerous maybe poor or incorrectly set up but not dangerous

the man behind a trigger who would shoot at eye shine instead of a confirmed target is dangerous imho.

.with the photon there is a danger it does not the clarity or definition required to positively identify the target even at short distance . A experienced shooter will never shoot at eye shine This can prove to be a risk for the unexperianced young shooter who is starting out.possibly with his mates showing off with his new nv it is a starter kit but some think it's superb and it is not..it is very basic and in alot of instances a red beam is better.better range.better clarity and alot cheaper..the photon definately has its limitations when you can't identify a person at 50 yards wearing wellies

Some people only have the one nv device a drone pro has a perfect picture out to 500 yards .I use thermal as my spotter .with the photon there is a danger as there is not the clarity or definition required to positively identify the target. This can prove to be a risk

Especially for the unexperianced young shooter who is starting out.it is a starter kit but some think it's superb and it is not..it is very basic and in alot of instances a red beam is better.better range.better clarity and alot cheaper

Sorry what the clarity of Drone Pro or Photon got to do with the Arrow? Let get back on topic please.

There are better units available at a similar price..for this price range the wdv800 is the unit to beat it is the best digital addon available...for less money (half the price ) the some bloke unit is far better than the Photon..the best digital night vision is the drone pro but this is dedicated and it has ruled for the last 5 years with nothing in the pipeline to beat it..

Sorry it's got nothing to do with my question

"Come on then who's using one (starlight arrow) and what are your thoughts and setup!"

I don't really care if the man on the moon makes your favourite NV device that won't let you shoot people. Please stick to the topic if you own an Arrow what setup are you running IR and Scope what range do you get what might you change?

Forgot to say I owned an arrow. I used a mamba scope and it was OK to 150-180 yards at 12x at lower mag x4 you got better clarity on large objects at around 250 but it lost it at magnification also can become very grainy .when I used a nikon monarch3 scope it was not so clear due to the scope having better coatings which stop uv and also nv.I used a t40 but a t67 gave the extra 30 yards when turned to fine beam ..I sold it when I got a gen2 tubed ..so to go back to thread works OK with an mtc as alot of nv does not so good with nikon and leupold.in scopes with good lens coatings...
