al4x
I switched the other halfs parents yesterday. I'm not sure how I feel about pensioners who aren't internet savvy being able to save £750 a year....... if you have any elderly relatives it's worth checking as they like staying with the same company year after year. TIGHTCHOKE
I change every time the fixed rate comes to an end, it really is very easy to do. Plenty of comparison sites to help you, but I do take your point about non internet savvy pensioners. Is there an opening for a charity to assist them and take a small percentage for doing so? KFC
I have a friend who's coming up to retirement, he's disabled and he lives with his elderly mother. They're paying a small fortune for utilities and he wants to but his Mum refuses to change. I've even offered to help them switch to the same company that I switched to last year but she won't have it and she rules the roost. wandringstar
I got a snivelling letter today from calor, telling me of an unavoidable price rise, its the second in a year, yet oil wholesale is low, I would like to shove these cylinders where the sun doesn't shine, I don't believe its gone up for any other reason, than, that they are greedy berk's. I received that, but had already switched to Novagas and saved money.

shaun4860
Had an email yesterday from EON Apparently I'm overpaying so they are reducing my payment from £56/month to £45/month Oh, thats dual fuel, not each
Lord Geordie
I got a letter from my supplier yesterday. My bill is going down too? About 3p per unit. It all adds up. I would write a letter to calor and challange their increase! Most of the energy firms are due an *** whooping by the PM for their greed apparently. 'Twas on the news the other day that the government were going to have a meeting on the matter. The price of wholesale energy has fallen for a while, whilst the energy companies kept on with extortionate increases. Then boasted billions in profits. Maybe Calor need a few customers explaining that there is no justification for the rises, when the cost fallen?

FatFreddysCat
No mains gas where I am. Found First Utility was the cheapest I could get for electric only. Saved me £96 per year when changing from EDF.
