Dunkield
Having fished small still waters for some time, a few years ago we ventured out onto our first reservoir, Eyebrook. Having been smashed by the first two fished I hooked, and work bloody hard for, I just upped my tippet to the strongest I had and then started landing them. But yes, as you say they take some landing, great fun though
Ferret664
I was fishing one rod with a homemade tapered leader 10-6lb and another one with straight 6lb leader never had any trouble but talking to some of the regulars they were using 10lb minimum and were very surprised I used such a light tippet . Heading back to grafham tomorrow can't wait looks like it's going to be a beautiful day and hopefully the odd fish will make it even better 👍👍
