lksopener
Anyone have a contact number for the chap around Doncaster with reclaimed lead shot? Or does anyone have any to sell? Will collect for the right volume? Liam
chris1961
You will be lucky I've been trying to find it was told that he doesn't sell it any more don't know if it's true I'm looking to get some clay and game prices make it a very expensive proposition
Vince Green
They used to collect it from the busy clay ranges but there is too much steel in it now. On a busy DTL range nearly all the shot would be landing in virtually the same place and you could pin tarps out on the ground and collect plenty

We shoot over a grassy field (quite high grass)
Vince Green
Sounds like a great plan, quick question how would a person figure out where the shot was landing in order to put the tarps down? We shoot over a grassy field (quite high grass) If you stand there the shot falls harmlessly like hailstones, at Bisley beyond the clay ranges the ground is grey with fallen shot. A 50 bird DTL with a hundred entrants is nearly 300lbs of shot, and that can happen virtually every day in the summer. pinfireman
The guy who reclaims shot is unlikely to have any this year, as he is busy with other things....I spoke to him recently.
