ips
Mice Scope on now (again) is a 3-9x40 with jap optics. Had it twenty years and until i thought I had killed it the other day it has proven to be a very good scope. I know when I have pulled a shot and a few of the groups I posted pics of I admit to a few but it has not been grouping well so far. I am convinced that another 500 through the barrell will sort it that and a properly aligned scope. Ps Shame I was busy tonight as its still as a still thing outside tonight

ips
Update Bipod off, 6 mag on. Quick half hour in slight to moderate wind. Definitely prefer no bipod definitely prefer simplicity of set mag. Grouping is definitely improving but I still reckon she prefers accupel. Jsb and his mag do not seem to suit at all. Feeling a bit better about it now oh and as suggested group tested at 30yd and strangely it did seem better however this was not an exhaustive test so no conclusion yet. Oh and filled to 190 bar so maybe found the sweet spot. What do other folk fill there ultra too. ?
Ultrastu
.177 ultra .240 bar shoot down to 140 bar 45 shots .22 ultra 220 bar shoot down to 120 bar 55 shots Ultra se that is . Mmc ultra is 190 bar for 177 And 175 bar in .22 So at about 190 bar your se . 177 will be at about peak energy but for only about 15- 20 shots left . ips
Um, if I pop 200 bar in and get presumably 20-30 that will do for an evening on rabbit. Thing is my local dive centre don't fill 300bar they only do 230 so I ain't gonna get many fills at
Ultrastu
Thats why i use a pump . Its dead easy to fill your ultra to 240 bar in less than a minute .and its free . I have a bottle and a pump .and i still mainly fill my guns with the pump . The bottle lives in my van so useful when im out hunting and i want a quick fill
ips
Um, I always thought it was hard work with a pump and my back is not the best of backs 😞 Pump sounds expensive too ?
Ultrastu
£ 150 quid ish .for an fx How much does it cost to fill your bottle ?£8 20 fills and you could have bought a pump . I dont struggle to pump even my fx wildcat .
ips
£3.50 per fill. Not sure how many fills yet. The AA is 190 bar so obviously that gets more bang for your buck 😁
Snoozer
ips i use a pump on my Weihrauch and it's not much effort to be honest, Nice slow full length strokes (you remember them dontcha lol) and your done. Plus side the pump doesn't need refilling I use a Hills mk 4 from these guys. http://www.theairguncentre.com/hills-pump

bruno22rf
£3.00 to fill my 3ltr 300 bar tank, average 4 fills a year, Tank cost £65 from a local dive shop (used) and whip/gauge £30 used so over the 5 years my tank has cost me on average £25 / year for a plentiful supply of clean dry Air - cheap as chips . Mice!
Are you above or below the aim point then? What range you zeroed for? I know what you mean about aiming for a small target, you pull one or miss it looks like its miles away in the scope then when you get up close its not that bad. Nice groups though not sure I've ever tried that sort of range
Ultrastu
The black dot that is about 8 mm below the group . It was 45 yds but could of actually been 44 as i was using my spare laser rangefinder that is out by about a yard compared to the other more acurate one i have . Ultrastu
The purpose of posting this group is not to show off .but to illustrate what an ultra is capable of
Mice!
I thought you would have been shooting low at that range or were you holding over?
Ultrastu
I was using the correct dash mark on my ret for 45 yds . The gun is zeroed for 33 yds .
