Paddy Galore!
yep! just renewed mine and the wife's motors and saved over £200, halved the wife's fiesta quote even with the extras, Aviva wanted £300 for a bare bones fc policy, I got a guaranteed hire van added plus key protection for £50 less on my van. Loki
Hi Always worth doing a trawl of the comparision web sites (Martin Lewis' recommendations) a couple of weeks before due (otherwise there is pressure and can end up auto-renewing). I then always offer the existing provider to match - sometimes they can others not. Always a healthy saving for the (hated) effort. Same with house/contents. Davyo
Few year (2006) back my neighbour had a new roof fitted (shared drive) so scaffolding blocking the drive.I phoned insurance to advise that car will be parked on drive (front of the house is all block paved). They charges me addition £25 as car wouldn't be garaged overnight for about a week.So bring the clock forward to Friday, I bought a brand new Ignis last month (2nd car so insured to be parked on drive).Wife took a fancy to it and said I can have her 2016 Fiesta Titanium X ecoboost.(main car garaged).I sold it last week and went and bought myself another Suzuki. (insured to be parked on drive over night). So calls insurance Saturday to tell them my Ignis(one wife decided is hers now)will now be parked overnight in garage instead of on the drive. No change to policy what so ever. So they charge you £25 if you tell them a garaged car is going to be left out for a week. If you tell them a car that is normally parked on the drive will be from now on garaged, it has no financial be If it to your policy,🤔 Edited August 6, 2017 by Davyo
das
Get this every year, renewal comes through at a stupid price, go on the comparison sites and my insurers quote £100 less for exactly the same cover. Ring them up and the usual 'OK we will do it at the quoted price' answer. Same year after year.
