Catamong
I'm still having to re-log in virtually every time I click "View New Posts" or "Add Reply", this has only been happening since the recent upgrade. Is it only me or do others have problems..?? Cat.

Cranfield
Some people (I am one of them), have to log on after they have rebooted their PC's, but then stay logged on all the time their PC's are on and have no problems navigating around the site. It is being investigated and if pin has the solution, that would be appreciated.

pin
For IE6 try :- (I'm assuming your Windows drive is C: and you are using Windows XP) Close IE Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Cookies Click any file then press F3 (search), the sidebar in the window will change to the search dialougue. Click "all files and folders", in the "all or part of the filename" box type "pigeonwatch" It should find one file, delete it (and remove it from the recycle bin). Start IE but DON'T go to PW yet. Click Tools-Internet Options click the Security tab, click on "Trusted Sites" (green tick) and click the "Sites" button underneath In the "Add this website to the zone" box, type :- *.pigeonwatch.co.uk Click "add" and uncheck the "Require server verification" checkbox if it's ticked. Click apply and then OK. Restart IE and revisit PW, you will need to log in, make sure you tick "Remember Me".
Catamong
Yep, just done all that, but the problem still persists..?? As others are having the same problem, surely it has to be a fault with the Board, and not the users PC..?? Cat
pin
Doesn't affect me, and if it were affecting more we'd be hearing about it more. I sent a fix to teal for the issue, its a forum software 2.2.2 update problem, unless the fix is applied server side it will keep happening for some people. Clearly Teal needs to verify and check these things, it wouldn't be wise to randomly make changes to the code without verifying them first. The problem is described here http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...mp;bug_cat_id=
Bazooka Joe
If your running Firefox, try; Tools-Options-Privacy-In Cookies, Keep Until I Close Firefox,-Go To Exceptions-Copy & Paste PW's Url into the box, Click Allow. BJ.

Cranfield
It is an issue with the board and we hope to have it fixed very shortly.

Mungler
"Log" as in the lavatorial sense. But yes, an addict anyway. Today has been a slow day with plenty of work avoidance. I really dislike Mondays. I don't know why I don't like Mondays though. I am gonna shoo-ooot the whole..... oh, I digress.

Country_est
Ok guys, I am having the exact same problems of having to log in every time I do anything, even when just doing login then get aceptance message click view new posts and then am told to log in again ad nauseum. This happens when I use the system that is running XP with IE 7 and the lastest patches downloaded last week. Using this computer Win 2000 adv server with ie 6 and all latest patches all is currently well, but with having to login the first time round as it doesnt seem to remember my settings (get the info from the cookie). Now this is only happening to this site and not to other ones I also frequent. I would suspect that everyone that has problems with IE is using IE 7 and the patches. tiercel
I am using IE7 and as I have auto update I assume that it is upto date. I have to log in once in every 24 hrs. No problems other that that. I assumed, they were using timed cookies now? Even my -6 has gone from my messages.
Cranfield
The PM problem has been sorted. It now seems that most people have to log on once in 24 hours (me included) and others have to continuously log in as they navigate round the site. We can only apologise about this, but it is a "bug" on the new board and is being investigated, we anticipate it will be fixed soon.
