B391
Hi I have regualrly seen loads of pigeon feathers on my lawns over the last couple of months. I thought it was due to cats or foxes but this morning this little one caught a pigeon. Can anyone tell what sort of bird it is. Sorry for poor pic, just grabbed my phone for the shot. B391
Thanks for the confirmation, it is a pretty little bird, very graceful. It's now sitting on top of a scraggy old pine surveying the surroundings.

Mice!
That would be me, cup of tea some biscuits sit and watch, I get them flying through the garden, odd patches of feathers and once or twice sat on trees in the garden but haven't seen a kill yet. Walker570
Yep sparrow hawk and by the size alone has to be a female. The male is little bigger than a blackbird.
