FairImogen
Shot one of these yesterday. V impressed by build and handling. Recoil was quite noticeably, though. Would be interested to know what people think f these guns.
FairImogen
(Handled, but didn’t shoot, F3 Custom. What a beautiful gun!)
Gordon R
It is an individual thing. I owned an F3 - got rid, as the trigger pulls were awful. that said, my youngest really liked it. I honestly think Blaser are too expensive for what you get.
adzyvilla
I am looking at getting an f16 after a few recommendations from pals and a good experience trying out an f3 on a round of clays a few years ago. There is an awful lot to choose from in that price bracket though so will also be interested to hear what others make of them.
steve d
This was top of my "internet" wishlist when i went looking for a dedicated clay gun....until i shot one! As you did, i found the recoil harsh with a variety of cartridges which i put down mainly to the light weight. Ended up with a CG Invictus Ascent, which is a much heavier gun and i love it
Westley
I have tried both F3 and F16 and could not live with either. I went with a shooting pal 3 weeks ago to 'test drive' an F16, it is back on the shelf too ! DO TRY before you buy, it could save you a lot of money. welshwarrior
Use F3s and F16s as coaching guns and the F16 does seem to have more recoil for some people than it should. F3 on the other hand when set up correctly is excellent but some early ones had trigger gremlins
figgy
The F3 have weights you can add to the stock and to the barrels so can have a heavier or lighter gun to suit.
FairImogen
Thanks, everyone; the recoil has taken these off my list

Those weight can also be used on the F16 if required.
Wingman
Must admit I tried an F3 at AGL and thought it handled terribly. For me it felt very "barrel heavy" if that makes sense I kept the cash and stuck with my perazzi. Would like to try the F16 though to see if it's any better. Use the balancing system to set it up where you want it to be that's the clever bit.
Hamster
A friend of mine has owned one for the last few months and he shoots it very well, to me as with almost all guns and most certainly Blaser, the comb is way too low and the fore end profile not thick enough, I personally think there are better buys in its segment. As for the F3, I think its possibly one of the finest two grand guns you're allowed to buy for £4600.
CharlesP
When I bought mine I was perfectly prepared to specify an adjustable comb but it wasn't necessary. I require a higher comb than most (aristocratic cheek bones is my theory). As to Blasers recoiling more than others I'm at a bit of a loss. Mine doesn't, and I'm pretty sure others don't if the mount is reasonable. The F3 is a gun where "it's too barrel heavy" simply means it's been set up that way. It's the work of moments to set it up how you want, with two separate weights adjustable throughout the length of the stock and additional weights one can attach to the barrels within the fore-end. Any gun shop selling decent quality guns should know about this stuff, advise accordingly.
