Mice!
have a knock on some doors, ask neighbours who did there's and how much, guessing everywhere will vary.
redial
I was caught out as a young man with his first drive. They used a garden roller to go over the paper thin Tarmac, even knocking the door to ask for tea. Yes like a fool I made the tea and handed over the cash. ADT06
Just a point to ensure that they give you a proper specification of what they have quoted. It should include a compacted stone sub base, tarmac base course and wearing course, with suitable edgings. The surface should be properly rolled when laying by the tarmac gang. Breastman
Just to add, you need planning permission for any type of hardstanding at the front of a dwelling over 5sqm, unless its made with porous/permeable materials or has a soakaway fitted independent of the existing drainage system. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/7728/pavingfrontgardens.pdf Most people ignore this, but that why the flooding in 2007 was so bad. I'll shut up now. Edited January 17, 2018 by Breastman
