SNAKEBITE
Came into work this morning and found someone had stolen my running shoes from the top of my locker! Nothing expensive or fancey just a pair of shoes for when I go running at lunch time. How sad can you get? It's not the shoes going missing but the fact that there is a thieving toerag in the company that annoys me more.
naddan28
Thats a joke, a witch hunt is in order! The inconvience of people like that are just
Graham M
It’s unbelievable what people will steal. My next door neighbour hung her doormat over the fence whilst she was sweeping the front step. She forgot about it overnight and the next morning it had gone. She was staggered that someone would steal a dirty old doormat that she was going to replace anyway. G.M. webber
Around 30 years ago we used to take a stand at traction engine rellies, and had various items stolen. At one show it was necessary to remove the cowpats from the area. My brother filled abox with pats and sealed it up with tape, and then placed it to the rear of the stand. Obviously it was lifted, but imagine the thieves face when he opened the box. webber

LEFTY478
Leave a jacket hanging up and sew fish hooks into the pocket. Voila. M, does this qualify as en trapement? Or does that require the use of a trap?
MC
Just start a rumour that you have a disease of the feet which can be passed around by sharing shoes. Athlete's foot isn't really enough.
SNAKEBITE
Leave a jacket hanging up and sew fish hooks into the pocket. Voila. O.K. then, being the legal beagle what exactly can I get away with before I end up serving time?
Markio
I'm still coming to terms with the fact that anyone would go running without being chased by something dangerous.

henry d
I had some stuff stolen from my locker once, it was one of the metal type with a lock half way up it and a shelf at head height. To get into it the thief had to pull the top corner outwards and insert their hand, which happened a second time, however I had placed 2 rat traps inside. I lost the 2 traps but I imagine that the theif had a wee shock and a bit of difficulty getting his hand out
Mungler
Metal locker eh? Sounds like a job for Mr. Electricity. Depending on how many people you work with, go round to each of their houses and see what trainers they are wearing whilst they cut their lawns. Cranfield
I don't know what you have done about this incident at work, but I would make the biggest fuss possible. I would make sure everybody, everywhere knew about it. Ask your employer to replace the trainers, it was their locker, provided by them for you to use. Regardless of any "no liability" notices, I would have a go. There are few things more odious than a thief, but one at your workplace is about as bad as it gets.
pavman
SB It really is bad form, they want stringing up by the nads!
Wookie
I'd go with Cranfield. Kick up a huge fuss about honour and work and make a big point about how you never expected thieving scum like the sort of people you see on Crimewatch being at your workplace. It may work, but I doubt you'll get your shoes back.

Graham M
I remember vaguely something about an old lady who used to take an old handbag with her when she took the dog for a walk. She used to pick up the dog mess and store it in the bag until she got home where she could get rid of it. One day some scumbag snatched the bag and ran off with it………..would love to have seen his face when he stuck his hand in it to see what he had stolen. G.M.
