That is a lovely looking door where did you buy it?  What oil did you use and how many coats will it need. Plywood in the middle you say take it back your being had.

Ply they class as the thermal barrier and it works great plus gives it mega strength combined with 18mm either side of it :)

i make them for a living but after many years of supplying everyone else I thought sod it I’ll have one now :)

oil ? I guess 3 coats but I’m putting 2 on before I fit it in this weather.

Oh a cheers :)

What’s so good about it?

I clearly don’t know enough about doors. Looks nice though mate

It’s just the general construction of it. 20mm tennons , wbp far eastern core, sapele ( strongest hardwood available to me I feel)

hoping it lasts me for good.

Cheers :)

you not fancy a PVC one then:whistling:

on the security front, read a book a while back fiction spy stuff could have been a mitch rapp book, they had put steel door frames in and made them open out not in so you couldn't kick them in?

I’ll admit any security is only as good as the weakest link. Normally the glass next to it ;)
