This statement about 'catastrophic failure' makes me wonder what happened, sea defences broached, pontoon moorings came adrift perhaps? " Speaking on Friday, Holyhead Marina co-director Geoff Garrod made a frank assessment of the incident – saying a “catastrophic failure” meant the boats could not be protected from the gales.
