If you want 300 yards it's going to be either a lightforce 140 or 240 blitz.. And forget the red filter. The Blitz will do it with ease, with a decent scope recognition is fine out to 300+ if your not shooting over flat terrain then no probs.

As pretty much everyone has said, 300 is a very long way under a lamp/torch, and any filter, particularly red will bring that down.  Nothing I know will give you a TIGHT beam at that distance, obviously some are better than others.

Whilst several lamps/torches claim 300 and MORE you would need very good eyes to be sure of your target!

We all have different shooting requirements/situations, but I rarely find the need to shoot at anything like that distance at night, good luck to you, if you find something that fits your bill a report would be useful.
