Pigeon Shredder.
Take it you mean .17hmr, the 20g just make's a bit more mess than the 17g when l use them on squirrels, bought initially as a foxing round but either stops them in their tracks, so no advantage noticed or gained. HMR is a lovely little round to use once zeroed in.

bruno22rf
I have a box still unopened - never really found a use for them?
Benthejockey
I can remember having two different types of 20g. I can’t remember what the difference was. Used them. Liked them. Think I probably couldn’t get any more that’s why I didn’t get any more.
casts_by_fly
At one point there were soft points, hollow points, and fmj available in 20gr. I too didn’t see the benefit in the hmr. In the hornet that is another matter. Rick

Rewulf
Tried them once, didnt bother again. A tiny bit less flatter trajectory, hits about a quarter inch lower at 100 yards, maybe a bit more hitting power/downrange energy retention. The hollow points though didnt feed as well as the polymer tips in my T bolt. Couldnt see the point really.
Dekers
Only ever used the FMJ 20g HMR, 17g V-Max much better for MY requirements!
PPP
I tried CCi gamepoint 20gr in my hmr (bolt) but the grouped poorly compared 17gr vmax
hambone
Had a good price once on some Winchester 20gr. Liked them but had some spectacular ricochets, would not get them again.
