oowee
With the start of the Buck season and decent weather I thought I should make the effort and get out on a new piece of ground that I have just picked up. Spent the afternoon fixing up the high seats and sat out for the early evening to see what was about. Some spray work on nearby fields together with a lot of spread muck did not improve my chances. Just after sunset I managed to bag this young buck and an easy extraction was a bonus. Next day out for some stalking on foot and quickly spotted a pair at the back of a small wood. I quickly back tracked and went on a large circular track to get to the other side of them where i would have some cover to approach. After about half a mile at the other side of the wood and the pair had gone but fortunately a nice Buck had taken their place. An easy 50m shot and he was down. It then took me best part of half an hour to get him to a fence where I could bring the truck for extraction. A nice start to the season but I must concentrate on the farms with cattle which will be not so good later.

Raja Clavata
Very nice indeed. There's a dearth of Roe around here, very few and far between and where they do exist the landowners are far more tolerant of them than the fallow, at least in my experience. Scully
Plentiful supply of Roe around our land; always passing through but always taking their time. We no longer shoot them however.
