wymberley
IF anyone has one a couple of years either side of a 62 plate, could they kindly have a shufti and find the frequency of the Subject service - assuming there is a servicing checklist in the maintenance book? Many thanks.

B725
Lots of cars use the Haldex and they will all give different time's to change the oil. I had my freelander done around 60k and the oil was discoloured and the filter had some crud in it. I would change the oil and filter cheaper in the long run. bornfree
I have a 64 reg yeti and the dealer did the oil and filter change at 38k when I bought it.

Yep, that seems to be the consensus of opinion - km60k. Any doubt about it being done when I get the car and paperwork tomorrow - the history is described as " stunning" - and I'll get it booked in to be done. Thank you. sandspider
Change the filter too. Most garages will only change the oil, as according to Skoda, the filter isn't replaceable. But it is, and it will help! I had trouble with this with a so called VW specialist garage - I explained they needed to change the filter too, and explained how to do it, and they just did the oil! This explains how to do it, for Gen 4 Haldex anyway: https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/replace-generation-4-filter-andor-pump/ Having said that, I think newer Haldexes are a bit easier to change the filter, and it may even be a service item? Mine's 2011 and Gen 4. Worth double checking.

If you're going to tell porkies, make sure that all of the staff tell the same ones.

JRDS
I had mine done at 25K, the oil is expensive but well worth doing. I have a 15 Plate 170BHP Elegance DSG and love it. Good choice, they are superb little 4 x 4's. Mine has gone everywhere I ask on steepish stubbles, rutted tracks etc with no fuss at all. wymberley
Well, the car is good, very good, well pleased. BUT, mine was taken away with half a tank. This one had the low level light on with about 20 miles to run. Someone WILL hear about it. However, back to the point and no, although serviced and stamped by Skoda dealers, the oil has not been changed. Will have a chat with my local guys tomorrow.
