mgsontour
Hi all, obviously I'm not alone with getting swollen feet/legs/ankles after a long day shooting but does anyone have a preventative measure to limit it. . . .either gel, socks, tape etc ( I know NSAID's work after but looking for a prevention if possible)? Cheers
ehb102
Compression. Anything from sports compression to medical grade. To the knee compression socks will help no end. If you need medical grade you can buy from Haddenham.
hedge
I wear compression socks for sporting purposes and some of the best ones I have found for the money are Karrimor ones from Sports Direct: https://www.sportsdirect.com/karrimor-compression-running-socks-mens-415508#colcode=41550803 I've worn more expensive Skins and 2XU socks and never noticed any difference. But feet and ankles aching off rough ground. Try taking nsaids before going out if they work for you.
Houseplant
Please note that medical advice provided online is worth what you pay for it. That said, there are numerous causes of leg swelling and NSAIDs may make it worse! It's worth a visit to your GP.
bruno22rf
Totally agree with Houseplant - leg swelling can be fluid build up and kidney and heart issues are the normal culprit - get it checked out.

Yup!! I have old lady's cankles these days - Take water tablets on prescription and they work pretty well in taking it down, but compression socks to the knee can also help. When i'm at home, my feet are elevated if at all possible.
