mad1
Hi all, I'm planning on cleaning the action on the 10/22,Some poly mags and various bits and pieces in my sonic cleaner. Do the specific fluids do a better job than anything else or is there any better solutions to use... Thanks Stay safe M1
spandit
Might not help you but my mate cleans chainsaw bits by putting them in a small container of petrol then putting the container into the sonic bath which is filled with water
Westley
I use white vinegar in the water with mine. It seems to do a good job on Beretta auto pistons.
Diver One
We used citric acid on diving gear BUT that was mainly stainless or brass/chromed brass
NoBodyImportant
Last week I tried simple green and it took the finish off a Glock and Ruger. So not that.

figgy
I watched a fella on YouTube does small engines. He uses screwtop bottles and jars for all his bits with whatever cleans each best. Vinegar soap solution etc. These are then put into the clean water of the sonic cleaner. Worked very well. Water stays clean and so does the sonic bath. Loki
Hi I do my cases in a Citric acid/warm water mix, in the sonic-cleaner, certainly cleans the bras;, rinse in clean water and dry. A drop of Fairy Liquid or equivalent doesn't go amiss in the solution either. L
