London Best
We were there again last Saturday. Had the usual superb day, despite social distancing. Do any of you remember Goss-Petcher Guns at Hucknal in the 1980’s/90’s? The Gun in the foreground is Dave Goss.

I remember J S Topliss gun shop on wighay bridge Hucknal. I think it’s a bed shop now?

Same shop. Dave Goss worked for or was a partner of John Topliss and when John left the scene Dave ran it with another partner. I think Dave will be 80 this Spring. I first met him when he was seeing my mate’s older sister in, I think, 1962.
Walker570
Nice. Something about traditional partridges over hedges and even better if they were greys. Now they have to push them off mountains for the willy waggers to shoot.

Nice to see others appreciate proper traditional shooting. There is no such thing as a low partridge providing it is safe.

I used to cycle there as a kid, and spend ages looking in the window 🙂👍
figgy
Over hedges or small Wolds with some wind, poor man's grouse. Great days in field.
