Originally there was no time limit. So under that method we would have all been covid victims when we ultimately popped out clogs in 39 years time. I would say so, a company will not last long if the staff are killing the patients. I have an architect who is refusing to go to site, my preference is a P45 but my partners out voted me as she’s pregnant. She chose to get pregnant during a pandemic, unfortunately I had very little to do with it. Anyway, the point I make is that if you put yourself in a position where you can no longer do your job why should you be paid? Too many entitled individuals not putting in the graft. I worked 0800 till 2200 again today, same as the last few weeks. Worked the weekends too. I come from a family of committed grafters, my paternal grandfather was an engineer and worked for a company into his late 80s. If I were in charge no free rides or cushy numbers, be that benefits, employment or pension. Tax would be on wealth not income.

loriusgarrulus
My Daughter was pregnant last year. She is a nursery nurse. When the nurseries went back after the initial closure last year they kept her on paid leave till her maternity leave started to keep her safe. I now have a lovely Grandaughter. When I worked in a laboratory with chemicals the company used to put pregnant staff on office work to keep them safe even though we used to wear full protective PPE. Does your architect have no work she can do in house. 8 hours ago, WalkedUp said: I would say so, a company will not last long if the staff are killing the patients. I’m just being in a grump because it’s a small team and we are all having to cover the work she’s not doing. Congratulations on the granddaughter 👍

Fortunatley my Daughter lives in the village, so I do get to see her from 2 metres away. If your architect is doing more office work, hopefully that relieves someone of their office work to give them more time to go on site.🤷♀️ Never mind, hopefully things will get better soon. Warmer lighter days will be here. Vaccinations will be flowing and we can all get out again a bit more and I can get cuddles from my Granddaughter

Hello, I can understand where your coming from, running a business and employing people has many difficulties and costs, my son is working long hours to keep 4 people in work and not easy in this pandemic or any other time realy, it's going to be a difficult one reference the vaccines and employees rights, but let's face it who in their right mind would not have one as the alternative maybe a lot worse on human life, can't wait for my jab👍

No, people jumping on it as if its automatically a issue with the vaccine and passing it around the internet. Without the caveat that it could be nothing to do the the vaccine, and that people can, and do have bad outcome with most medications. That is anti-vaccine IMO. OK, it could be nothing to do the the vaccine, and people can and do have bad outcome with most medications. So how many deaths would have to occur close to the time of vaccination before it becomes a valid talking point?
