grahamch
Am in the process of giving up most live quarry shooting and have dropped one syndicate last week and will drop my other at the end of the season. So am looking for a change of gun to shoot clays with, the odd day at pigeons and some inland geese, am currently using a Beretta 690-3 which is fine but after more than 75 shots at clays I feel the recoil a bit even with ounce loads. Am looking for an o/u, 3 inch chambers and steel proofed with a left hand stock. Looked on Guntrader and there are a lot of makes i have never heard of and want a quality gun, max budget £3.5k. Any recommendations? TIA
button
B Rizzini, plenty of custom options and can do the factory visit although budget could be tight
wymberley
Would have said Chapuis but your second paragraph rules that out. So, Zoli. Both good bits of kit but not too popular. Retail new not prohibitive but used superb condition an absolute bargain.
Johnny English
My dad has a left handed beretta 694 and it's a superb bit of kit. I think beretta have got them pretty much spot on. Nice weight, good rib, changeable recoil pad, balancing system, nice grip and palm swell and different drop at heal options for the stock. His shoots great. Edited October 4, 2022 by Johnny English
Wylye
With that budget you're spoilt for choice. Get ferreting about on Guntrader and see what takes your fancy. The way things are the moment you could buy a good used gun from a private seller for not much money. Potentially you could buy a gun priced at £5k new for your budget. Don't be in a hurry. discobob
CG Invictus 1 second hand should well be within your price range
Westley
If you are used to a Beretta, then stick with them and get a 694. Friend has just bought one at £3500, new. You may struggle to locate a used left hander.
