harrycatcat1
Do you think these need a pilot hole ? https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Timber-Drive-Screws---150mm-Pack-of-25/p/190111?fix&gclid=CjwKCAjw2OiaBhBSEiwAh2ZSP-HxxQdRrVwWj9Uh0SgmvHfkS7KBQ2gP4Butgl5a6TQPOhdBh6TFgBoC6f0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Edited October 27, 2022 by harrycatcat1

Screwfix or Toolstation seem your usual to buy from. But there are online fixings suppliers which could be another option. Just shop around 😉 These fixings are obviously for the framework,,,, so you preferably need that type and of different suitable lengths, and make sure they are self drilling, ie have a cutting point, then no pilot hole needed. I think I will pre drill the newels that these screws are for.

Take a look at the TimbaScrew range on Screwfix, not too expensive. At the end of the day it's your choice. Keep up the good work 👍

The spec should highlight that detail. The tips look like a pointed drill bit,,,, so no pilot hole needed. Drilling pilot holes is so laborious, and the drill bits usually snap just when,,,,,,,,, 🤨🤔🤣 It's so much easier to use self drilling fixings 😉

discobob
Try Travis Perkins - they had a dewalt for £144 - I was thinking about buying one but it is showing as not available for delivery or in local branches - you may have more luck buy you Very well regarded saw
