Dave-G
All Quiet On The Western Front: a young German lads journey through WW1 was a really good watch.

gmm243
Watched it the other day, have to say it was very enjoyable without being too over the top. Must have been a horrible experience to have been in the trenches.
Stephen-H
Brillant film I remeber watching the 1979 version of it in school for history fantastic & the modern one is done amazingly as well the tank & flamethrower scene is truelly gripping! Westward
Just watched it. Gripping stuff and not for the squeamish but shows the personal side of war very convincingly.

I wasn’t a fan of the 1979 version, but enjoyed the original, which quite closely followed the book if I recall. It’s a long time since I read it. MirokuMK70
Don't know why they called it all quiet on the western front as apart from the character names and the scene in the shellhole it bore no resemblance to the book whatsoever... Lloyd90
Really good watch, there’s not many war films like that where they have you laughing one minute then utterly shocked the next. The scene with the goose had me cracking right up. The scene with the flame throwers was eye opening, as was the munitions factory where they found all those lads … Really enjoyed it to be fair thought it was really well made. humperdingle
I thought it was excellent - Gritty, great special effects and totally brutal in parts. That’s war, baby.
