His playing days were before my time, however the recording show just how talented he was. About 20 years ago I won a football competition and the prize was to choose any football shirt with any number on the back- I chose the 1970 Brazil shirt with 10 on the back - which I gave to my big brother who was old enough to have seen Pele play. holloway Posted December 29, 2022 Report Share Posted December 29, 2022 I saw him play at Plymouth Argyle for Santos in 1973 ,with a packed stadium the Brazilians refused to come out for the kick off unless they were paid an extra £2500 above the contract fee .They got there money and Plymouth beat them 3-2 ,glad I was there as he was a proper great of the sporting world.
