Agriv8
So my bsa has been loosing pressure between trips to the farm after the rats ! I filled it tonight from the air bottle and there is a definite hiss from the probe fill port. is it a diy job ? I guess there is a one way valve o ring that is no longer only letting the air go one way !! what parts tools ? Any exploded diagrams or you tube that people have come across? Thanks in advance Agriv8
Mice!
https://twchambers.co.uk/airgun-spares/bsa/ Exploded diagrams here. Folk say there easy to work on, but I've no idea.

Ultrastu
Order a seal kit from bagnell and kirkwood .I think its kit s for the mmc . The fill valve has 2 orings .the big one round the out side of the brass valve (most likely culprit and easiest to swap out. ) And the other small one inside it .can be tricker to get the ball and brass retainer out to get to it . Xtx has a utube vid you can watch on this ..
Longbower
As above , follow the XTX Video and you cant go wrong. The reason the O rings fail , is filling the gun too quickly , it simply cooks the o rings. So, when fixed , fill it slowly.

His videos are really good, I'm glad he didn't pull them when he stopped working on guns.
Agriv8
So a further question- for you clever air gunners ! I have found a couple of websites that list a fill port with pressure gauge mod. as I can’t count - I belive a gauge would be a good shout as I would likely move away from filling “ just in case” to when needed the xtx ultra mmc strip down is really good but the one I found did not disconnect the fill port - but I will have another dig thanks for all your help Agriv8
Ultrastu
Yeah if you fancy gauge .just buy that one and drop it straight in .your fill probe should be compatible or it may come with a dedicated probe .
Agriv8
Thanks ultra stu - recon there a few more rats floor and tree left in her yet ! after some corvids with her tomorrow. farmer mate dropped some fresh beef of from one of his bulls he’s had done and asked if I’d take a look at them nicking food from one of the feeders in the sheds !! got myself a chronograph an sneaked her up to 11 .5 ft lbs as will be a good 30 yards away ! Will report back how I get on if I get chance to get down ! 7 hours ago, Ultrastu said: Yeah if you fancy gauge .just buy that one and drop it straight in .your fill probe should be compatible or it may come with a dedicated probe . Ultrastu
That gauge looks good how much did it cost ? And where from
Agriv8
Hi Ultra stu It’s one from huma about €80-90 euros but uses standard bsa probe ! I think lane !?! did one as well but required a different probe ( could be wrong as was under the influence when ordering ) I also liked that the huma one was in bar ! The gauge would have got in the way on the short barrel on the bsa mmc mod so switch to a second hand a-tec from my trusted gun man ! need to kick another post off about a-tec mod cleaning! 12 hours ago, Ultrastu said: That gauge looks good how much did it cost ?
