Evening , just about finished this crook , horn is clear of cracks& splits , solid top , nose a little out ! Sanded, wet& dried, polished on the mop , fitted on dark hazel shank , on the whole fairly pleased with it ,all a learning curve....

Well done boo, that’s an absolute cracker and my favourite type of crook.

I’m still learning at the moment, making wooden crooks and different sticks and one day will try my hand at making a rams horn crook.

Keep up the good work and thanks again for you help a few weeks back, it was very much appreciated.

Cheers gents ,just really starting to get into rams horn as buffalo is hard to find & expensive these days , that took a week to bulk the horn , 2 days to bend & shape nose & 2 hrs to fit & finish, the shank took nearly a week to get the thing straight! Last one for awhile, away now for a month, cabelas & bass pro on the horizon!
