Gordon R Posted June 10, 2023 Report Share Posted June 10, 2023 I have been dealing with GMP Licensing team for 43 years and have always had excellent service. My licence (acquisitions section) filled up and I messaged them to check procedure. I was dealt with by Susan (I know her full name, but don't want to publish it without her consent), who was professional, polite and more to the point - very helpful. It didn't come as a shock, but the posts about Firearms Licensing on the Forum are mainly negative. I do not wish to get into a debate about the relative efficiency or inefficiency of the Firearms Teams around the UK, but want to acknowledge GMP's service. I have written more complaints than you can point a stick at, but you also have to acknowledge good service when you get it. I therefore wrote to GMP's Chief Constable to say thanks. Since the 1980's I have always had very good service from them and also very good advice and help.
