Who has Netflix?

I had Netflix through my lads account but they have shut that route.

Doing a bit of searching and it looks like £4.99 per month with adverts is the cheapest option but do the adverts come every 30 seconds or so and does it ruin watching? Or is it like itv every 15 minutes 🤔

What package have you got?

Sorry, what does 720p mean 🤔 I haven't a clue 🤔

The £4.99 is the economical way of officially adding a family member at a different location.
We have done it via wife’s son with who we previously shared password.

Not seen any difference in viewing experience.

How does that work please 🙏 I thought if I paid my 4.99 it would be a seperate account 🤔

Your son sets you up as another paying user via his account and you get the adfree and viewing quality he has.

you could also use a streaming stick and take that to your sons and connect it to his internet every month or so.

720p refers to the fidelity/resolution of the picture.

720p is only just stereo, just below HiFi in audio terms and looks OK on a sub 21" Tv screen, phone or tablet. It's also refered to as SD (standard definition) and has a picture size of 1280x720 pixels (or dots).
Next up is 1080p, heading towards High Definition with an improvement in the audio making it Full HD this looks good on Tv's up to 40"

The top level up offers Ultra HD (4K) and HDR content and has 5.1 surround sound or Dolby Atmos.
If you telly has 4K or HDR and you have a Dolby Atmos capable sound bar, the picture is stunningly good and even on a 72" Tv you can see the hair in the rabbits ears, listen to it breath and hear the crows behind you.

Once you have seen/heard 4K and Atmos you can't go back, SD looks flat and sounds dull

Somone beat me to a response above and probably did a better job of explaining than I would.  Just down to quality really . Apologies wasn’t looking to offend. But on a decent sized even mid range tv you can really see and hear the difference especially if you’ve flicking back and forth between 720p and 1080p platforms

The thing is as you get older like me with the start of cataracts it doesn't matter how many p's there are you can't tell the difference 😉😉😉🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

No worries, I’m not offended, just didn’t understand as I can’t say I’m disappointed with the quality. 🤷‍♂️

Ours is a quite large smart tv with the capacity to switch between platforms, so if I can I’ll have a look and see what difference there is. Cheers.

Watch tennis or F1 on BBC1/CH4 and then on BBC1-HD/CH4-HD and you will see the difference.

On the HD channel you can see the strings on the net and the faces in the crowds ... the F1 cars look more vibrant and colourful and you will see the rubber crumb on the track a lot better.
You will only really get the benefit of the audio if you have a good quality sound bar

No it's not, 720p is HD not SD. It is sometimes refered to as SHD (standard high definition), but it is still HD. Granted it is the lowest version of HD.

Technically yes but is anything still broadcast or streamed in 480p as standard?. I call 720p SD as it’s weirds calling the lowest common format high definition
