sky gipsy
A couple of turbot, baked on a bed of fennel, lemon and parsley with buttered new potatoes and green beans, all from the same Normandy market. I really respect the French way of life and their love of food.

sky gipsy
23 euros or £19 in Norfolk money. Not sure of the weight of each fish, but there was plenty of them for one heck of a holiday treat feast. The roasting tin they were in above is 14" x 10" and the fish were a good 2" at the thickest. Yellow Bear
Sorry to be a wet blanket on this but minimum size for UK retention is 16 inches. If that is a 14 inch tin those would be deemed undersize. No wonder we have lost our fish stocks.
GingerCat
To be fair they are missing their heads which may and a couple of inches.......

Simple maths on the tin size gives a headless size of over 17 inches, given that they are placed diagonally.

Two placed diagonally but different rules on size in France 🤔
