The fact he is asking the question is in the news, not that he has suggested it should be done. There’s a difference.
As I’ve already said, he’s sailing pretty close to the edge, but he hasn’t gone as far as incitement as yet. Hopefully he will pretty soon.
His comparisons regarding suffragettes and apartheid are wrong; both were about equality of human rights, climate change isn’t.

I agree. But if they see it as a rubber stamp then that’s their interpretation. Unless he incites or condones it then he’s in the clear, and he knows it.
He’s playing a dangerous game ( and I strongly believe he has the ego to believe he’s a ‘messiah’ of sorts ) but he knows that unless he crosses that line then he’s innocent.
I too can understand why folk break the law at times, but do I condone it? 🤷‍♂️

I watched that Madeley fella interview him this morning and he's seen in advance the programme so he said. He asked Packham if he was prepared to be indited for incitement for his comments to be seen tonight. He also said C4 was keeping tonight's episode close to the chest and refusing to allow previews or comments despite presenters having previewed it.

I'll not be watching tonight mainly cos it's long after my bedtime and cos I'd not give him the satisfaction of viewing figures which is what he's after.

No doubt anything radical will be in the news tomorrow.

Quite. I won’t be watching either.
One I can’t stand the bloke, and secondly like you I don’t want to inflate viewing figures either.
I doubt he has got himself into serious trouble, but hopefully he will before too long, and if he does, like you say I’ll hear about it elsewhere.

just about had enough of it now.............THIS IS CLEARLY A PROGRAMME DESIGNED TO RECRUIT EC-TERRORISTS TO THE CAUSE AND GIVE THEM THE GREEN LIGHT TO "GO-HARDER"

i really think that the BBC should dump him now hook line and sinker....if they dont....they will be activly supporting his agenda.....

The TV survived.

The only time dedicated to countering CP's narrative was his all too brief segment devoted to him posing a few points to Peter Lilley.  Sadly Lilley was not granted the courtesy of responding without video overviews [ of forest fires for example] and CP's post interview comments.  Disappointing but hardly surprising.

I felt the close up's at the end of CP's deep contemplation about his own predicament regarding direct action was pure hamming it up for the camera. I found the whole production rather disturbing and presumably not in the way CP intends.

watch it shaun....its Packham being Packham.........but sailing very close to the wind........see what you think

Well I watched it.

Biggest thing I took from it was that if you want to protest legally and non violently then he will support you.

He is still considering his own actions going forward.

Means he will not bite the hands that feed him.

That interview outside the prison slightly confused me as when he described the conditions inside he described an actual prison 🤦🏻‍♂️

I didn’t think he was sailing close to the wind.

He knew he wasn’t going to do anything.

:shaun:
