Injured Pigeon

Not sure if this is in the right section but I noticed this  pigeon in my back garden this afternoon it was obviously injured so I put it out of its misery (air rifle head shot) . On closer inspection I'm not sure if it's been had by a cat or the two crows that was harassing it. It was missing lots tail feathers

Any ideas what could have happened to sustain it's injurys

Clipped by a car? I hit loads every week in the mornings that fly up from  the edge of the road. A lot fly on, could be anything really.

If you were in parts of Wales G C you would be going that slow the Pigeons could have a three course meal before you would arrive , yes I agree it could be anything , some of these Wood Pigeons that go into the town and countryside gardens are more tame than the ferals and a cat or even a Fox can sometime catch them , or try to catch them ,

If I lived in parts of Wales it would take me 3 hrs to get to work.
