I think a £5 fee will help teal a lot if members paid but as said before it might put off old members that come back ( what a fiver it was free when I last went on it eight years ago I ain’t paying that 😂) I do think mm is on the right track but think a  voluntary contributions page would be better you could give what you want and as regular as you want and I do believe most members would certainly pay more than a fiver a year that way happily  I have been on this forum for a few years and I think it is brilliant  we have nice people a ( few a holes) but you get them everywhere  some real jokers and a lot of experienced shooters that share there knowledge I have never met any of you but had good banter with loads of you  so well done mm you have set the ball rolling to help teal to keep us all sane

I have intimated on an earlier post that I would be happy to pay a voluntary ( £1 ? ) But would balk  at a £5 (?) one.   I am sure that I would pay much more into the fund over the year than a one off donation.

Cannot guarantee that though as I am a northerner after all.😄

As I said earlier on I'd be more than happy to take part.  I'd also like to suggest a donation of £12:00 a year, thats right £1:00 a month to be paid whenever in that year.  Suirely none of us can gripe at that, surely (and I hope I am right, ) we can all manage to meet that goal without experiencing hardship?   Pushkin :good:

Certainly are some very nice and thoughtful people on the forum , only this week I received a welcomed gift of a wildfowling video all free of charge from our good friend Old Boggy , very much appreciated O B ,,,  within reason, how they go about getting in funds to run the forum I am sure it will still be very good value for the enjoyment we get out of it .  MM

As per my earlier post I do have a little experience of forum admin and funding via donations. I think it worth mentioning that funds paid for what would ostensibly be the running costs for a service supplied obviously require careful handling and - depending on majority feelings - a degree of accountability. Worse case scenario is the possibility of the forum being seen as a business of sorts - with all that entails.

Let me make clear the above is not to put any kind of dampener on well meaning kindness and suggestions but is intended merely as looking at things from a different angle. All that said I'd be quite happy to pop a donation into the collecting box 🙂
