Gordon R
We insured grandson's Corsa this afternoon. It went up £50 whilst we were browsing other sites. Paid up before it went through the roof. £700 less than original quotes.

The question whys motorcycle insurance gone down? I’ve just priced my new bike and it’s gone £150 to £500/800 . Gutted . I’m hoping to pick it up next month . TOPGUN749
I’m wondering if premiums have gone up partly because of used car values having increased so much. I got a quote today for my car and it showed the value as over £5,900 when it was worth rather less a few years ago. I can still get comprehensive insurance with £200 excess and protected bonus for under £200 a year.

I know both are attractive targets for theft.

When I bought it in 1995 it was a 'stolen recovery'! Not really sure the Disklok helps and it is a bit 'tedious' to use, but I see it as a deterrent. Penelope
Well, I had a result yesterday. Insurance on the Hilux is due at the end of the month, so I jumped on the comparison sites to see what quotes I could get. I had to call my current insurers, Hastings Direct, and explained that I needed my no claims details for the comparison sites. I have recently had a renewal quote from them which was a just over £100 increase. The lady that I was speaking to, said hold on a minute, let me see what I can do with your quote. Long and short, cheaper than last year.

Didn’t realise that was possible
