Rim Fire
That would depend on your Rifle twist rate length of barrel heavier the bullet more stable it will be but not all rifles will shoot heavy bullets in
old man
Maybe look up Nathan Foster at Terminal Ballistics Research, Taranaki New Zealand?
Stonepark
To shoot accurately past 600 yards with a 223, your barrel will need a 1:7 twist rate (though 1:8 will also work) and 70gr to 75gr bullet heads. Speer, Nosler and Hornady all do them but getting them ordered might be a different matter.

Its 'possible' , but its like saying my 22lr is VERY accurate at 500 yards. Awaiting all those that say they can shoot a 2 inch group at 500 yards with their 22lr...... Its all down to the BC of the bullet, generally speaking, the weight, or more accurately the length (and quality) of the bullet, it stays accurate for longer distances. This 👍🏻 It’s not really a 1000 yard calibre.
Zoli 12 guage
without going into minute detail,in a nutshell you will need at least a 6.5mm calibre but will need to make your own mind up as to what suits your needs.
Mr.C
As above it can be done to prove a point but you really want something a little larger. 69gr GGG match through a 1:8 twist barrel will get there in 223.
