Touchstone
I had no idea there were any Thunderbolts or Lightnings flying over here. Do you know where they are based? Excellent photography. I'll keep my eye on that for next year. T
BinaryB
What a show that must have been. Sorry I missed this. Must keep an eye out in the future. Thanks for posting.
DUNKS
Very nice photos thanks. You got the shutter speed right too for the props. Well done.
TIGHTCHOKE
Thank you, I do hate to see frozen props or rotors. I was shooting at 1/200th or 1/140th of a second, the chap I was with was working even slower than I was as he wanted full discs. I usually only go for a full disc when something interesting is running up, face on in front of me on the ground.

T The P 47 Thunderbolt, Nellie B, belongs to Fighter Aviation Engineering Ltd from Essex and I believe she usually operates out of the IWM at Duxford. The P 38 Lightning is part of the Red Bull Stable and operates out of Austria. Thank you Edited June 25 by TIGHTCHOKE
Touchstone
Thanks TC. That’s interesting and appreciated. As my brother BB highlights above we’ll keep our eye on that for next year although I suppose the Lightning may not appear on consecutive years. Unfortunately I don't think the Red Bull Team nip over without a good booking or possibility of doing several shows. Touchstone
Thanks TC. Unfortunately, Austria might be a bit far for a day out. T

I have just been offered tickets for the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden, very happy as these airshows are getting VERY expensive. I am off to R.I.A.T. for a week in July, that normally gets some interesting aircraft.
