I understand that some people consider that we are all and each but global travellers on the same planet and there should be no borders. However, for that to work ‘un-skewed’ no country can offer state assistance of any form (benefits, housing, schooling, nhs etc) and have open borders. 

We could have open borders tomorrow and no one would want to come here if we turned off all state assistance. Simples.

Labour have effectively invited every migrant in Europe to come here knowing they will get amnesty and benefits, accommodation and health care.  Why though, the French give them nothing and are subject to the ECHR just like us.  The courts also have new Labour guidance on how to refer to them.  It is blatantly obvious Labour want to increase the numbers coming to totally unsustainable levels.

Agree. The anecdotal is that Blair wanted to swamp the country with future Labour voters / dependants on the state.

Labour love a big and expensive state - it’s the cornerstone of socialism and control. Shame on the conservatives for not pairing it back when they had the chance with an 80 seat majority - mind you, we never actually got a conservative government did we?

Its obvious why sunak called an election to take place just days before the  keystone of his premiership, the illegal deportations to africa would have been stopped and he and others in his government knew this full well,
