harrycatcat1
I have had a small trailer for about 10+ years and it's really handy for jobs. Question 🤔 should I paint the floor of the trailer if so with what? Or just leave it alone and just use it?
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, It is looking a bit worse for wear Harry so a coat of Hammerite would be my suggestion

Agree in principal but would go for 2 coats of Galvafroid rather than straight zinc paint.
Doormat
I’ll echo what others have said is it tarped up when not in use? As wet weather soaking under ply or rubber will accelerate corrosion.

udderlyoffroad
Certainly Galvafroid over Hammerite, unless they’ve changed their formulation in the last 5 or so years. Hammerite chips like heck in my experience. Or, as it’s going to get dinged anyway, cheap option is a can of a zinc rich primer and top up when necessary. 7 hours ago, ditchman said: put a thick rubber matt in it made from old conveyor belting..... Not the easiest stuff to come by these days tbh. Unless you work in a quarry 😂

Trailer floors get scratched and dinged all the time, idea is you can 'top up' as and when needed. Is what I'd do. If you want to do a proper job, then yes proper sanding/degrease then 2 coats of galvafroid
