Can anyone identify these?

I think I acquired these from a friend a few years back, I believe they were 'junk' and about to be skipped but I held onto them as I was intrigued by them.

Ive tried to photograph the markings on the piece with the bullet still present. (Its a hollow cartridge and the bullet is loose) They appear to read "1918 Le Cateau, 25 DIV"

The other may be some sort of ornament maybe?

Im guessing something to do with ww1?

Just thought someone here may have seen something like these before?

Cheers :)

Known as ‘Trench Art’

Watch a couple of ‘Bargain Hunt’ episodes and it crops up!

Normally made by bored troops … not sure on the markings, but if you could trace the origins it would add value.

Collectable .. but don’t order the boat just yet.

In total, over 7,000 British and French soldiers were killed, wounded, or taken prisoner and 38 British artillery pieces were captured at Le Cateau, while the German forces suffered approximately 5,000 casualties

Nice things. Any further pics of the other piece?

I shall take some more when I get home. I have remembered I grabbed a big old shell casing too, Its big. Its in my garage. I'll photograph that too later. Perhaps its from the same era and setting.
