Looks good but can’t say I’ve ever had chips with gravy. Perhaps I’m in the minority here and missing something.

Whereas as a Kentish Man I have been as far north as Scotland and many other places in between, where the great unwashed love chips and gravy. If you have a moment, go searching for the Macc Lads rendition of Beer and Sex and Chips and Gravy on youtube, it is an anthem for some from up tut NARF. I`ll have you know I`ve been up to London once As for that rendition by The Macc Lads, I didn`t understand a word of it but I`m guessing that it`s your taste in music

No, I used to work on BFBS Radio out in Belize and one of the DJ's was a serving NORTHERNER and it rather stuck with me.

Did you find yourself talking with a Northern accent after a while, only when I was at college in London there was a Geordie who at first no-one could understand but after a few months at college and socialising in the local pubs afterwards, we found that we were talking like him. Scary eh?

Scary eh? It has happened more than once, years ago I returned from Germany having spent time with a group of Yorkshire lads and my Mother couldn't understand me. My mother couldn't understand me when I came home after spending a few days at the senior school , both the infants and the junior school were in the village I was born in and it was easy to understand each other , in the senior school a lot of the kids came from the town and we were not used to posh words and no doubt they were not used to some of our swear words

TIGHTCHOKE
That's NOT plenty. We make it by the half gallon and freeze the leftovers to be used again. This evening I will have roast lamb from Sunday, a bucket of gravy and some potatoes.
