yickdaz
Still.plenty stubbles around and some unharvested spring sown fields so the potential is there for more shooting before it dies off completely so out sat hardly a bird moving before dinner then around 1.30pm birds fighting all over the place you would think they would be on the move earlier with the nights drawing in quite a late set up 2.30pm got a good few hrs then dried up ended with 78 picked 70 Out again sun it looked like a total washout and I was ready to head back home then the rain stopped and birds began to fly it was another late set up about the same time as sat shot steady for just over 2hrs shot 68 picked
clangerman
nice you had a couple of good results there wouldn’t say it’s over here but the two I shot yesterday only stopped for directions north!

marsh man
Very good results for late stubbles . ours are just a distant memory now and some of them have already got a wild flower mix in that is over a foot high , we haven't got many Pigeons but that is not to say there are not many in the area , yesterday afternoon I went for a longish walk along a man made river that join two more rivers at each end , throughout the afternoon there were a few Pigeons constantly on the move , looking with my binoculars I could see three or four Wheat stubble fields that could produce a nice lot of sport , sadly not for me as chasing about to get the go ahead is no longer appealing and hopefully someone else will have a go . mellors
Still plenty of late sown spring barley to cut round here. I think this week will see it done though as long as the forecast is right it says dry till Sunday.
Wilts#Dave
Nice work Daz, found the same here, surprised there’s still pigeons about! Shot some old pea stubble last Friday expecting 50 max and ran out of cartridges on 180!
