dustyfox
David Stirling ........He invented the SAS .....You missed that one Foxey Now let me think .......what particular Country invented most of the popular sports played on a global scale today Just a bit of banter thats a point most of the SAS soldiers are Scottish Correct but governed by English officers And you know at trafalger Nelson put up that sign "England expects every englishman to do his duty" thats cause he know that the Scottish would do their job, the english didnt really care. Anyway this topic is about football and the reason why so many of us hate the England football team is because you keep on mentioning winning the world cup in

In well versed football discussions it is commonly said West ham won the world cup in 1966 Tony
paul65
Name some English inventions, I can only think of one and that is the biscuit The World Wide Web was invented by an Englishman, Tim Berners-Lee, who was born and schooled in London. davo
Their men love to dress up....in dresses and skirts that is. It's a flipping pleated skirt, not a kilt. If it's a kilt then my mum wears one every day..... Compared only to those ultra Butch 'Morris dancing' outfits worn down south, ribbons and bells, now that is terrifyingly Manly. Devon Fox
English invented the 50 pence coin, the shape was chosen so that you can get a spanner on it to get it out of a Jocks hand! Sorry Scots ..... when it comes to sport, i will support anyone but you (mainly because in the late 70's at Hampden park some kilt wearers got on the roof of the terrace and ****** on us!) .... ********!
