Venison, new spuds, carrots roast Parsnips in a red wine gravy, just need the tops putting on tomorrow then in the freezer.

We had a dinner out of it tonight and this is whats left out of a 6ltr slow cooker.

Looks lovely , very similar to the shoot meals we used to get , they were called game casserole but you never knew what were in them , all the spices made everything taste the same but they still went down the hatch , what was left over often used to go in my empty lunch box , and many a time we not only had it for dinner , me and my wife used to do some fresh veg and have what I brought home for tea , they used to say if we sent some back then we wouldn't get so much the next time , needless to say we never sent any back . :drinks:   MM

Why "sad pots"? The only sad thing is, they're not mine. They look great.

Used to make loads of meals like these when I was single. Mates called them sad meals.

Breakfast was not always spent on my own though. ️

did you ask your friend  .."how do you want your eggs in the morning...boiled...fried...or fertilized " ?

Do you top them and then freeze or do you freeze them topless and cover when defrosted?

Topped them with Puff pastry and freeze. Take out the night before then in the oven for 15-20 mins.. The time it takes to boil some spuds and mash.

Presentation not brill, forgot the egg wash on the pastry hence the pale colour, too much on the plate, left some mash probably due to the 2 mince pies i had before.
