Dougy
I see a blokes been arrested after a Wiltshire farmer confronted Hare coursers on his land. And I see that this weeks Fieldsports Channel has removed this weeks episode , i can only assume it was the coverage of that story that prompted it to be removed I saw the clip and it was appalling, i suppose like many shooters with permissions, landowners have asked to clear any Hares on the land due to the Hare coursing gangs. Mice!
Not sure if it's the same thing but I read about a keeper getting ran over and in a bad way trying to stop poachers, someone arrested but the police have increased security at his home because of threats 😳😳 2 hours ago, Dougy said: saw the clip and it was appalling, i suppose like many shooters with permissions, landowners have asked to clear any Hares on the land due to the Hare coursing gangs. It's a real shame, but you can't blame them.

They are separate incidents.
Dave-G
I know a farm that has coursers quite frequently and the culprits got two 4x4's stuck recently, cops nicked them and seized the vehicles. Yet the owners have the opinion that lots of Hares are good because the dags get confused if they spot a different Hare so won't have them thinned out or cleared off. Cranfield
Its surprising how many farmers lose equipment soon after the hare coursers have been around. Its a common "knock on" effect. We have found them in the early hours around buildings, "looking for me dawg". Police called, not interested.

Little support from the peelers due to the protected status of their quarry?
