TIGHTCHOKE
Following on from CHIPGATE, I thought I would explain how I do things. I went to Lidl and bought the cheapest bag of chips that they offer. £1:65 for 1.5 Kgs. Open the bag and put a single portion in to the 4 Litre Air Fryer, on FULL temperature 200 Degrees C Set the timer for 10 minutes and then check and shake the basket and then back in for another 5 minutes. Check again at 15 minutes and 200 degrees C. add on a nother minute, so 16 in total and here you go. Warm the curry through having defrosted it overnight and serve up the chips. Add the curry and a quick simple and easy lunch using the cheapest oven chips and an Air Fryer.
TIGHTCHOKE
As I am happily single it makes no sense to use a deep fryer or an oven. Perfectly enjoyable fare for very little outlay of time or money.

Morkin
2 minutes ago, TIGHTCHOKE said: One of my few vices, I buy them in bulk.................... Do you suck all the chocolate off and give the peanuts to someone else😂😜👍, That’s like that old couple who sat behind the bus driver going on a coach trip to coast, They kept giving the driver peanuts, when they arrived, The driver said Thankyou lady’s for supplying me with peanuts on the journey, They said , O with our false teeth they get under the plate so we just suck the chocolate off them😂😂😂👍

For a belter look up LATIFS INSPIRED CTM without base gravy on youtube, easy to make and your other half will think you are Gordon Ramsay and get all fruity 😶. TIGHTCHOKE
I can make an ORANGE/RED batch next, it was just what I chose to accompany the EASY Chips. 6 hours ago, bruno22rf said: Interesting colour (though technically it should be that colour but most offerings have red dye in them) but where's the peppers, salad, onions etc. Own up, is it a value meal for one? I just make a sauce and add the cooked chicken before it gets frozen. If I don't have all the bits and pieces to go along with it at the time they go in if I have them when it is defrosting. This time I didn't and was concentrating on the chips and taking progressive pictures. Note to self; Next time just show the chips.

Noooo, show everything - not criticising you Sir but rather hoping that my hours spent making curry's may be of some use.
TIGHTCHOKE
Morning Bruno, I have been making good curries for quite a few years now, do not claim to know everything and am happy to take any pointers. I have over the years read and added to plenty of threads within the Food and Drink section on PW. My main reasoning behind this thread was to show just how quick and easy cooking can be for a single person. NEVER too old to learn or to help others. Cheers TC, heading towards the kitchen, just isolated the outside tap as the temperature drops, not much to do in the garden and not shooting until Sunday. marsh man
Not a curry , Indian spice or hardly anything from that part of the world , although my nurse who looked after me last week was lovely so note I said hardly anything The chips looked fine and would easily pass the chip test in my household , I have only had two or three lots of fish and chips from the chippies over the last year and the last lot of chips I had were nearly as dear as some of my main meals were barely warm time I got home and were nothing to write home about , I am going for a walk around Wells or Blakeney over the next week or so and I will have fish and chips from my favorite fish and chip shop at Cromer , weather permitting I will be sitting on the sea front while watching the ships passing by , my kind of a day out , this was the fish and chips from the last time I went . Note the chips are still a bit on the pale side , a bit like mine 😋
