That's the wrong place to pass through, with all those cameras, NPR, and ever present police

Knockholt near to Sevenoaks in Kent.

Vehicle stopped on the Dartford bridge in the night.

If you are looking at the BBC news page, they have edited their info to say "Dartford crossing", from "bridge" 🤦‍♂️

Apparently a weapon was recovered from the vehicle that was stopped.

Typical POOR reporting by these so called journalists.

"As part of inquiries, officers attended the Dartford Crossing where a vehicle linked to the incident was recovered, alongside a firearm.

Lets hope he is not a ticket holder, else there will be more calls for a ban on legally held guns, it will be an opportunity for labour to look good in the eyes of joe public.

Matters not, the real circumstances? The gun control network has tentacles in two tiers office. They only have one aim.

True, but every incident like this gives them a bigger stick to beat us with...if it turns out he is a ticket holder that is.

Im probably wrong but im bieng optimistic.

There's approx 500,000 shotgun cert holders in the uk (google tells me) As well as us lot, there's plenty of folk connected to shooting that won't necessarily shoot themselves.

Perhaps, seeing how unpopular he is currently getting, messing with such things and turning another up to 1m (I said I was bieng optimistic) people away from Labour for the next general election will keep things as they are.

I appreciate alot of folk who are connected to shooting do not vote Labour already, but that doent mean its all of us at all.

Again, just me bieng hopeful

I beg to differ, it matters not to the general public whether it is a licensed or unlicensed weapon.

It will be another nail in the coffin for us and shooting.

Quote below from the BBC news web page.

Notice the report has changed again......

"A woman in her 40s has died in a Valentine's Day shooting outside a village pub in Kent as police continue to search for the suspect.

Kent Police said it was treating the shooting at the Three Horseshoes on Main Road, Knockholt, just after 19:00 GMT on Friday, as a murder inquiry.

The woman, who had gunshot wounds, died at the scene, officers said.

Police later recovered a vehicle that contained a gun on the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, which crosses the River Thames near Dartford.

Det Ch Insp David Higham said call handlers had received reports of a man on the wrong side of the barrier on the bridge.

He said: "We are not ruling out the possibility that he may have entered the water.

"We are currently only looking for one suspect and do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public.""

My thoughts,,,, why jump off a high bridge into a river when you are in possession of a gun ? 🤷‍♂️

I strongly suspect he didn't expect to be caught, although heading over the "Dartford Crossing" where there are alot of cameras for face and number plate recognition was possibly an error on "his" part.

I mentioned the cameras previously, and the vehicle could have been parked up on the south side of the "Crossing" [plenty of places to do this] and the driver then could have walked up the bridge. Nothing definitive reported on anything yet in this regard 🤷‍♂️

What I meant by bigger stick was more restrictions on gun ownership.

Sound on CCTV is hard to make out what type of firearm. But as above it won't make any difference if legally held or not..

I feel sorry for the woman who last her life and the family now having to come to terms with it...

Having heard the gunshots on the footage; 3 spaced shots.
